Old Hat Books now have a zine about the learning process of creating a radical library and the fun experienced along the way. Expect to see stamps, anecdotes, nostalgia, photos and a guide to doing it yourself!

The zines are available by donation, just ask a librarian if you can't see them!

Welcome to Old Hat Books!

Old Hat Books is library of hats and radical books, located in the Forest Cafe in Edinburgh. Run by a collective of volunteers, the Library aims to make radical publications more widely available to people. And we like hats. If you'd like to donate to the library, or become a member, please email oldhatbooks@noflag.org.uk. Or just come by the Forest Cafe. We’re open from 4-8pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

If you want to check out what we've got on the shelves right now you can take a look at the catalog; if you're looking for something particular and we don't have it, you can place a recommendation. Unfortunately we can't get copies of everything, but we do our best to get things we think people might want. In addition to recommending a book or zine you think we need, you can vote on other folk's suggestions.
